REGISTRATION INFORMATION

DUE TO FOOTBALL HAVING ONLY A BANTAM IN-HOUSE PROGRAM, CHEERLEADERS WILL NOW BE TRAVELING TO GAMES FOR FOOTBALL.  CHECK BACK HERE SOON TO SEE THE REVISED INFORMATION SHEET!
Mission Statement and Registration Information:

The object of this Association is to set up a program of supervised Cheerleading for the children of the Wauconda/Island Lake area, including but not limited to children from Kindergarten through eighth grades.
The Bulldogs Youth Cheerleading Organization is committed to teaching the fundamentals of cheerleading which include sportsmanship, teamwork, cooperation, fair play, character building, and enjoyment for the youth's benefit.
In order to achieve these goals, parents, staff and administration must be role models, by example, in their conduct and stay within the boundaries of good sportsmanship and fair play.

Cheerleading is offered through the Bulldog Youth Cheerleading organization to Kindergarten through 8th grade boys and girls in the Wauconda/Island Lake area.  Below is an outline of what the registration fee covers, along with program registration guidelines.  Please review them carefully.  All fees will be strictly enforced so that the program may be run for the benefit of all registered cheerleaders.
Registration Fee: $175.00 ($150.00 for Kindergarteners who will attend only one competition)
(There is a $50.00 late registration fee after July 1st - dependant on uniform availability)
ALL FEES TO BE PAID BY JUNE 1st unless arrangements have been made with our Treasurer!

REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES:
  • Rental of the Uniform Shell & Skirt  (Please note that a $100.00 December 1st post-dated deposit check will be required at the uniform fittings.  This deposit check will be returned at the end of the season if the uniform is returned CLEAN and in the same condition as received.  If the uniform is returned in less than acceptable condition, we will cash the deposit check and you will billed for the difference, less the deposit, for the total replacement value of the uniform.) 
  • Turtleneck
  • Hairbow
  • Briefs/spankies (1 pair)
  • Socks (1 pair of white no-shows)
  • Two (2) League Competition Fees  Both Competitions are Mandatory for all squads to attend. One (1) for Kindergarten level.
  • Two Competition Organization Gifts (Please be aware that your coach/team parent may ask for volunteers to help with contributions for gift bags given to cheerleaders at each competition.) One (1) for Kindergarten level.
  • End of season Gala and Organization Gala Gift

PLEASE NOTE THAT SHOES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN OUR REGISTRATION FEE.  Rogan's Shoes will be sizing and ordering a pair of cheer shoes for competition use for your cheerleader.  A note on when and where, along with the price, will be sent out at a later date. 

FUNDRAISING:

  • One (1) Mandatory Fundraiser or a $50.00 Buy-Out will be required for each cheerleader (not per family).

SEASON HAPPENINGS:

  • The regular cheer season will start sometime early July and before the first week in August and will run through the end of November, ending with our Gala held at the High School.  All family and friends are encouraged to attend to cheer on their favorite cheerleaders as they show-off all that they've learned!!

PRACTICES:

  • There will be two (2) practices per week; days and times decided by coaches and school gym availability.
  • Coaches may set-up additional practice days/times, as competitions get closer.

GAMES:

  • Cheering for the football games will start in August and go through mid-November depending on play-off games.
  • Cheerleaders will cheer at one (1) game per weekend (either on Saturday or Sunday);Football league determines the schedule.

COMPETITIONS:

  • There are two (2) mandatory league competitions which will be announced at a later date (usually middle October) Kindergarten Squad will only go to one (1) competition per season.
  • Grades 4th through 8th that earn a State Bid may continue on to the State Championship held in December.  This will be the coach's decision and must be approved by the Cheer Board.  Your cheerleader is not required to continue.  All extended season competition fees and gifts will be at the parent's expense.

REFUNDS:

Due to insurance fees, competition fees, uniform costs and accessory purchases that have to be paid by July 1st, any Board approved refund will be disbursed according to the following time-frames:  A full refund will be given if written request is made by July 1st.  A 50% refund will be given from July 2nd through September 1st.  No refunds will be given after September 2nd.  All refund requests must be made in writing via our email address or through our P.O. Box and postmarked by September 1st.  Once request is received, a review by the Cheer Board and majority ruling on whether a refund will be granted due to the circumstances presented.  A refund will not be given until all uniform and accessories have been returned to the Bulldog Youth Cheer Organization.
